LeTip, explained

How referral networking actually works.

In LeTip of Brick, one professional per category meets every Tuesday at 8:00 AM, learns each other’s businesses, and passes qualified tips: people who want a specific service and expect a call. Each member commits to at least four a month, recorded in LeTip Wired, so the whole room is accountable.

The model

Six things that make LeTip different.

  • The weekly meeting

Every Tuesday at 8:00 AM at Icarus Brewing Company. Commercials, a featured speaker, a ShowBoater and tips passed in a set format.

    What a meeting looks like
  • One seat per profession

LeTip allows one member per official category. No competitor sits across the table, so members refer you every time.

    Open categories
  • Qualified tips

A tip is a person or company interested in a specific product or service who expects your call. Not a cold name off a list.

  • Accountability

At least four qualified tips a month per member. Wired tracks tips given, follow-up and closed business for the whole chapter.

  • Power partners

Members who serve the same clients, like a realtor, a mortgage lender and a real estate attorney, end up passing each other the most business.

    Meet the members
  • LeTip Wired app

Members send tips from their phone, see the chapter program schedule and track results in LeTip's own platform.

The four-tip minimum

What counts as a tip.

Inside, outside, inter-chapter and qualifying social media tips all count toward a member’s four a month. Escrow tips count once they are activated by a new member joining.

  • Inside tip

A tip from one chapter member to another.

  • Outside tip

A tip passed to a business outside LeTip.

  • Inter Chapter tip

A tip to a member of another LeTip chapter.

  • Escrow tip

A tip held for an open category until someone joins.

  • Social Media tip

    A qualifying social media tip.

Programs

Everyone takes a turn.

The program rotation in LeTip Wired assigns members as featured speaker, ShowBoater and greeter. Over a year, every member presents their business to the room more than once, and the room gets better at referring them.

Questions

Good to know.

What is a qualified tip in LeTip?

A person or company interested in a specific product or service who expects a call. The member records the tip in LeTip Wired with the contact details so the chapter can track follow-up.

How many tips does a member have to give?

At least four qualified tips a month. Inside, outside, inter-chapter and qualifying social media tips can count toward the minimum. Escrow tips do not count until they are activated.

What is an escrow tip?

A tip written for an open category, not a person. It is held in escrow and goes to the new member if a guest in that category joins the chapter.

Open categories

Why only one member per profession?

Category exclusivity removes competition inside the room, so every member refers the same trusted person every time and learns their business deeply.

See open categories

What is LeTip Wired?

LeTip's member platform and mobile app, where members send tips, report closed business, and see the chapter program schedule.

Wired app guide

Do I have to speak at meetings?

Every member gives a short weekly commercial, and members take turns as the featured speaker and ShowBoater through the chapter program rotation.
